Our Mission

The International Consortium for the Thought of the Global South (ICTGS) brings together scholars, institutions, and research initiatives committed to rethinking critical thought from a global perspective.

Our work bridges two major developments in contemporary philosophy. First, the expansion of the philosophical canon to include the diverse and dynamic traditions of the Global South. Second, the broadening of critical theory beyond its specifically European legacies, allowing it to engage the complex social, political, and ecological challenges of our global present.

Through a sustained network of collaboration and exchange, ICTGS fosters cross-regional dialogues that expand the historical and geographical scope of contemporary critical inquiry, to imagine new futures for philosophy and theory today.
